Bridal Veil Falls

Bridal Falls at beautiful Goat Lake

Bridal Veil Falls is located at historical Goat Lake north of the Monte Cristo . When you reach Goat Lake you will see Bridal Veil Falls dropping over a rock ledge into the lake. You can follow a way trail to the falls to get a better look.  At the end of the trail is a knoll where you can get pretty close view of the 150 foot tiered waterfall.  This can be a very impressive waterfall in mid summer and diminishes as snow-melt decreases. There is no trail past the falls continuing around the lake.

Once you have taken the trail around the lake as far as it will go, backtrack a little and you will see another way trail that drops down into a alpine marsh towards the lake.  This trail takes you pretty close and in a position where you are able to see the lower falls.  This marsh is full of wildflowers such as Marsh Marigold, Fendler's Waterleaf & Cow Parsnip.
