Bridal Falls at beautiful Goat Lake Bridal Veil Falls, photographer Nels Rasmussen,D.C. Bridal Veil Falls is located at historical Goat Lake north of the Monte Cristo .
When you reach Goat Lake you will see Bridal Veil Falls dropping over a
rock ledge into the lake. You can follow a way trail to the falls to get
a better look. At the end of the trail is a knoll where you can get pretty close view of the 150 foot tiered waterfall. This can be a very impressive waterfall in mid summer and diminishes as snow-melt decreases. There
is no trail past the falls continuing around the lake. Bridal Veil Falls as seen from the marsh trail, photographer Nels Rasmussen, D.C. Once
you have taken the trail around the lake as far as it will go,
backtrack a little and you will see another way trail that drops down
into a alpine marsh towards the lake. This trail takes you pretty close
and in a position where you are able to see the lower falls. This
marsh is full of wildflowers such as Marsh Marigold, Fendler's Waterleaf & Cow Parsnip. photographer Nels Rasmussen, DC To get to the Goat Lake Trail #647 from the Darrington Ranger Station, drive south along The Mountain Loop Highway, ( FS Rd. #20) for 22 miles to the Elliott Creek Road #4080, turn left and continue to drive 0.8 mile to the trailhead and parking.
