Upper Chockwich Falls is an easy day hike accessed by the Mountain Loop Highway. This hike starts you off on the Goat Lake/Elliott Creek Trail. After 1 mile there is a turn off to the left for Chockwich Falls, you reach the falls after one more mile. Both trails follow old road beds with little elevation. Late Spring is a great time to hike the Chokwich
Falls with the melting snow this 40 foot segmented waterfall can be quite
spectacular. To
get to Chokwhich Falls Trail go about 18 miles south from Darrington on
the Mountain Loop Highway, just before the Elliot Creek bridge turn
left on the Forest Service Road and drive about 1 mile to the Goat
