Crescent Falls

Crescent Falls, photographer Nels Rasmussen, D.C.

Crescent Falls is an easy waterfall to see since it is just along the road when taking the scenic forest road drive to Cumberland Pass.  This is a very pretty waterfall with segments cascading down rock and Maidenhair Ferns.  The falls are about 40 feet high and best viewed around June to July.

To get to Cresent Falls from Darrington, drive about 5 miles west on SR 530, turn right onto Swede Heaven Rd, drive 1.5 miles, turn right on  FS Rd. #18.  You are now driving up Mt. Higgins via Segeleson Ridge.  At 12.7 miles you will pass Segelsen Lake Falls & Segelsen Lake.  A little after passing the lake, keep right at the "Y," and then at 13.4 miles you will come to Crescent Falls and little further on Segelsen Ridge Falls lacing the rock faces to the right of the road.
