Rat Trap Falls, Upper

There are 3 upper waterfalls above Rat Trap Falls and they can be tricky to view.  They can only be seen about 1/4 mile southeast along Rat Trap Pass Road, FSR #27 looking back toward Rat Trap Falls.  When you can catch the sun shining on the eastern side of White Chuck Mountain where they flow down from they stand out more clearly.  The first waterfall drops from the drainage of the smaller White Chuck Lakes at elevation 4,400.  These pictures are telephoto as the waterfalls a very high up in some pretty rugged country.

After the first waterfall the unnamed creek drainage disappears out of sight then reappears making a long drop then disappearing out of sight again.

The third waterfall is quite a distance down from the second one.  This may be the most spectacular of all off the waterfalls.  Not to much further downstream the creek will make its final drop forming Rat Trap Pass Falls.
